Our community is a special part of the program…

through which students learn to work together and grow both professionally and personally. Students engage in our community of supportive peers and more experienced scientists through which they receive individualized mentorship to aid them as they develop. We intentionally build in fun activities to complement the challenging scientific work our students do. Some examples include spirited discussions on technology, creativity-building activities, axe-throwing, visiting the zoo, bingo night, game and movie nights, hiking, cliff-jumping, kayaking, climbing, and a Bob Ross painting party!
